Apple, Nvidia Eye Major Entry into AI Servers: Report

Apple Inc. is reportedly developing an AI server utilizing its planned M8 Ultra chips and considering Nvidia's NVLink Fusion technology for processor connectivity. This initiative, backed by CEO John Ternus, aims to expand Apple's chip strategy beyond consumer devices, with a potential launch not expected before 2029. The project would mark Apple's first dedicated server hardware since discontinuing Xserve in 2011. At the time of publication, Nvidia shares rose 1.89% to $216.17, while Apple shares increased by 0.40% to $332.66.
