AST SpaceMobile has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Telefónica, and Vodafone to explore a potential joint bid for mobile satellite services in Europe. This collaboration aims to enhance network integration, customer experience, and coverage in areas lacking reliable mobile connectivity, while maintaining data control within European jurisdiction. AST SpaceMobile's BlueBird satellites, capable of connecting directly to standard smartphones, have demonstrated peak download speeds of 98.9 Mbps, with future satellites expected to reach nearly 200 Mbps, supporting various services for consumers and businesses.
