American Water Reports Third Quarter 2026 Results and Updates Guidance

American Water reported third-quarter 2026 adjusted earnings of $2.00 per share, up from $1.89 a year earlier. It narrowed its 2026 adjusted EPS guidance to $6.07–$6.12 and initiated 2027 guidance of $6.53–$6.63 per share, representing 8% growth at the midpoint. The company affirmed long-term EPS growth targets of 7%–9% and rate base growth of 8%–9%, and raised its standalone capital investment plan to more than $20 billion for 2026–2030 and more than $48 billion for 2026–2035.
