Government of Canada Advances Transportation Safety and Technology Science Project with Bird Construction

The Government of Canada exercised a full construction management services option with Bird Construction Group Ltd. for the Transportation Safety and Technology Science project, valued at approximately $404.9 million. The project will deliver a sustainable science facility at the National Research Council of Canada’s Montréal Road campus in Ottawa, with laboratories and collaborative workspaces for about 260 NRC and Transportation Safety Board employees. Main construction began in fall 2026, with substantial completion expected in 2031.
