BlackSky Technology Awarded Multi-Year, Sole-Source $99M U.S. Government IDIQ Contract For Advanced, Next Gen Capabilities

BlackSky Technology Inc. (NYSE: BKSY) has been awarded a multi-year, sole-source IDIQ contract valued at $99 million by the U.S. government to develop advanced capabilities for Earth observation and space domain awareness. The company received an initial $2 million to expedite the design of a large aperture optical payload. This contract aims to enhance commercial space-based intelligence capabilities and support innovative applications in high-cadence Earth monitoring. The satellites developed will function as data hubs and be compatible with on-orbit data centers.
