Jack Dorsey Says 'Turn It on' as Block's Cash App Introduces 'Bitcoin Bonus' Feature — What You Should Know

Block, Inc. has introduced a new 'Bitcoin bonus' feature on its Cash App platform, allowing users to earn up to 2% annually on their Bitcoin holdings without any lockup or withdrawal restrictions. CEO Jack Dorsey encouraged users to opt in to this feature, which requires users to select it through the app's Bitcoin tab. In the second quarter, Cash App's transaction volume increased 17% year over year to $56.5 billion, while Block's shares saw a slight decline of 0.72% in pre-market trading, despite a year-to-date gain of nearly 13%.
