Cognex Agrees To Acquire RealSense For ~$500M

Cognex Corporation has announced its agreement to acquire RealSense for approximately $500 million, funded entirely through existing cash and investments. This acquisition aims to enhance Cognex's presence in the rapidly growing robotic perception market, which is currently valued at $600 million and projected to grow over 25% annually to about $1.6 billion by 2030. RealSense is expected to generate revenue between $80 million and $90 million in 2026, reflecting over 50% growth from the previous year. The deal is anticipated to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, pending customary closing conditions.
