Clean Energy Fuels Sells $30.7M Of Federal Tax Credits From Seven Of Its Renewable Natural Gas Production Facilities

Clean Energy Fuels has successfully sold $30.7 million in federal tax credits from seven of its renewable natural gas (RNG) production facilities, marking its fourth successful transaction in this area. The largest component of the sale is a $26 million investment tax credit from the South Fork Dairy facility in Texas, which began operations in 2025. The credits also include Section 45Z clean fuel production credits generated by projects in Texas, South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota, which collectively produced 2.7 million gallons of negative carbon-intensity RNG in 2025.
