Coherent Expands Pluggable Optical Line System Portfolio, With Full C-Band, High-Power Variable-Gain Amplifier Optical Line System In Compact QSFP Form Factor

Coherent Corp. (NYSE: COHR) has expanded its Pluggable Optical Line System (POLS) portfolio with a new full C-band, high-power variable-gain amplifier optical line system in a compact QSFP form factor. This system supports up to 32 DWDM wavelengths, enabling data rates of up to 25.6Tbps for AI datacenter traffic over distances ranging from 2km to 200km. The enhanced POLS is aimed at meeting the high-capacity interconnect needs of Internet Service and Cloud Hosting Providers, featuring advanced optical transport functions and simplified deployment options.
