Intercontinental Exchange Launches New Tanker And Container Freight Futures And Options

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) has launched new tanker freight futures for the TD34 and TD15 routes, as well as two cash-settled container freight average price options for Asia to North Europe and Asia to U.S. West Coast. This launch comes amid a 33% increase in average daily volume across ICE's freight markets year-to-date. The new contracts expand ICE's freight complex to over 90 contracts across more than 30 global routes, providing additional tools for customers to manage freight rate risk and volatility in supply chains.
