InterDigital Receives Preliminary Injunction Against Transsion In Brazil

InterDigital, Inc. (Nasdaq: IDCC) has been granted a preliminary injunction by the 3rd Regional Business Court of Rio de Janeiro against Transsion for infringing on two of InterDigital's 5G patents. The court ruled that InterDigital's licensing offer was fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND), leading to Transsion being barred from selling 5G-compliant devices in Brazil. This decision was supported by an independent expert report that confirmed the infringement and the essential nature of the patents to 5G technology.
