Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan Says Company Will Keep Working on Terafab — Elon Musk Confirms TSMC May Only Sublease Part of the Fab, Not Own It

Intel Corp. CEO Lip-Bu Tan confirmed the company's ongoing collaboration with Elon Musk on the Terafab semiconductor project, which aims to produce 1 terawatt of computing capacity for AI and robotics annually. Elon Musk stated that while Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) may sublease part of the Terafab, his companies will primarily build and operate the facility. Following Musk's comments, Intel's stock experienced a decline, although it has surged 204.88% year-to-date, trading at $114.95 in pre-market on Wednesday.
