Lithium Argentina Announces Cauchari-Olaroz Stage 2 Scoping Study Results

Lithium Argentina has announced the results of the Cauchari-Olaroz Stage 2 scoping study, which aims to expand lithium carbonate production capacity to 85,000 tpa, with Stage 2 producing an additional 45,000 tpa. The project is projected to have an after-tax NPV of $3.1 billion and an IRR of 28.5% at a lithium carbonate price of $18,000/t, with estimated operating costs of $5,006/t. The initial capital cost for the expansion is approximately $1.0 billion, and the project has received approval under Argentina's RIGI, ensuring fiscal stability and investment incentives. Funding for Stage 2 is expected to come from internal cash flow and project-level debt.
