Eli Lilly announced results from the TRIUMPH-2 trial, showing that participants with obesity and type 2 diabetes taking retatrutide 12 mg lost an average of 49.6 lbs over 80 weeks, with those having a BMI of 35 or higher losing up to 60.8 lbs. The trial also reported an average A1C reduction of 1.6%, with 40% of participants achieving an A1C of less than 5.7%. Eli Lilly plans to submit a Biologics License Application for retatrutide in Q1 2027.
