Eli Lilly announced results from the Phase 3 ACHIEVE-4 trial for Foundayo (orforglipron), which showed a 16% lower risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE-4) and a 23% lower risk of MACE-3 compared to insulin glargine, meeting the trial's primary objective for non-inferiority. The trial also indicated significant improvements in cardiovascular risk factors, including reductions in waist circumference, blood pressure, triglycerides, and kidney function decline. These findings were presented at the 62nd Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes and published in The Lancet.
