Nutriband has filed a U.S. patent application aimed at enhancing the protection of its AVERSA abuse deterrent transdermal technology. If granted, this patent could extend protection for AVERSA-based products, such as AVERSA FENTANYL, until 2046. The technology is designed to incorporate aversive agents into transdermal patches to mitigate the abuse of drugs, particularly opioids and stimulants, while ensuring accessibility for patients in need.
