ORIC Pharmaceuticals Announces Agreement With Cancer Research UK To Advance Potential CIP2A-Targeted Therapy Into Clinical Development

ORIC Pharmaceuticals has entered into an agreement with Cancer Research UK to advance ORIC-259, a potential first-in-class small molecule mRNA degrader targeting the previously undruggable target CIP2A, into clinical development. Cancer Research UK will fully fund and execute the CTA-enabling studies and Phase 1/2 clinical trials. ORIC retains the exclusive option to reacquire rights to ORIC-259 after the Phase 1/2 data is available, while Cancer Research UK may receive milestone payments and royalties.
