Polaris Renewable Energy Awards Key Supply Contract and Issues Notice to Proceed on Punta Lima Battery Storage Investment

Polaris Renewable Energy Inc. has awarded a supply contract to Trina Energy Storage Solutions for battery energy storage systems for its Punta Lima project in Puerto Rico, which is part of the Accelerated Storage Addition Program. The project will have a capacity of 35.7 MW and is estimated to cost between US$55 million and US$60 million, funded by cash. It is projected to generate approximately US$12.5 million in first-year EBITDA, with commercial operations expected to commence in Q3 2027.
