German Federal Ministry Of The Interior Awards Planet Labs Milestone Tender For Dedicated Satellite Tasking And European Data Platform

Planet Labs Germany has been awarded a milestone Satellite Services tender by the German Federal Ministry of the Interior, marking Germany as the first civil government globally to acquire Planet's dedicated Constellation Services. The agreement will provide high-resolution satellite imagery and advanced geospatial analytics to German civil authorities, while ensuring compliance with European data privacy regulations through a secure, European-hosted platform. This deal builds on Planet's existing relationship with the Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy (BKG), which has been in place since 2021 and supports over 400 federal institutions in Germany.
