PPL Electric Utilities Selected To Receive Up To $71.5M In Government Funding From U.S. Department Of Energy To Support Montour Grid Resilience, Advanced Reconductoring Project

PPL Electric Utilities has been awarded up to $71.5 million in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Energy for the Montour Grid Resilience and Advanced Reconductoring Project. This initiative aims to modernize a 230-kilovolt transmission corridor and is part of the DOE's SPARK Program, which focuses on accelerating advanced transmission technology upgrades.
