FDA Clears QIAGEN's Gram-Negative QIAstat-Dx Bloodstream Panel, Joining Gram-Positive And Fungal Panel To Cover 33 Pathogen Targets And 28 Resistance Marker

QIAGEN's Gram-Negative QIAstat-Dx Bloodstream Panel has received FDA clearance, enhancing its existing Gram-Positive and Fungal Panels. The new test identifies 13 gram-negative bacterial targets and 18 antibiotic resistance markers in approximately one hour. The complete QIAstat-Dx menu now covers a total of 33 pathogen targets and 28 resistance markers, addressing the critical issue of bloodstream infections that contribute to sepsis in about 1.7 million U.S. adults annually.
