Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Announces Its Results From Phase 2 COURAGE Study Of Trevogrumab Shows 70% Prevention Of Muscle Loss Associated With Semaglutide Treatment; Lower Dose Of Trevogrumab Did Not Enhance Weight Loss Achieved With Semaglutide Alone

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: REGN) announced results from its Phase 2 COURAGE trial, which demonstrated that trevogrumab can prevent 70% of muscle loss associated with semaglutide treatment in individuals with obesity. The trial results were shared at the EASD Annual Meeting and are set to be published in The Lancet. Following these findings, Regeneron plans to initiate another Phase 2 trial to evaluate trevogrumab in combination with GLP-1 receptor agonists for older adults experiencing obesity-related muscle loss.
