Sony Boosts Guidance as Profit Jumps on 'Spider-Man' Hit and Gaming Strength

Sony reported fiscal second-quarter revenue of 3.429 trillion yen, up 10% year over year, and net profit of 449.60 billion yen, up 44%. The company credited the 2026 “Spider-Man” film and strength in gaming, and raised its fiscal year ending March 2027 guidance to revenue of 13.000 trillion yen and net profit of 1.330 trillion yen. Sony is also collaborating with Saudi Aramco to apply its sensing and AI technologies in industrial settings.
