Top Analyst Says There’s 80% Chance Could Put Tesla and SpaceX ‘Under One Hood’ by 2027 — ‘Golden Goose’ Could Create the ‘Biggest Company in the World’

Technology analyst Dan Ives predicts a high probability of around 80% that Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) and Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:SPCX) will combine operations by late 2027 to dominate the autonomous technology sector. The ‘Golden Goose’ of Tech During a live recording of The Compound and Friends podcast from Sept. 18, Ives detailed his thesis on the next phase of artificial intelligence investments. Asked by host Josh Brown how investors can capitalize on the autonomous future, Ives highlighted Elon Musk’s companies. He expects the electric vehicle manufacturer and the space exploration firm to unite their artificial intelligence initiatives. “It’s my view at some point by the end of next year those companies merge,” Ives said. He emphasized that the integration would share more than just information. “Obviously that’s going to be the big question, but for us that’s the golden vision that Tesla and SpaceX are under one hood,” Ives stated. “Not just from a data perspective but in terms of all the AI technology that they’re building, that ultimately becomes one company, the biggest company in the world.” Ives concluded, “I view it, like we’ve said, it’s over an 80% chance by the end of next year that Tesla and SpaceX ultimately merge.” Macroeconomic Impact Fundstrat Capital co-founder Tom Lee echoed the significance of autonomous technologies during the panel. Lee stated that if robots act as a new productive unit rather than merely replacing human labor, they could act as “economic consumers and taxpaying units,” potentially allowing the broader economy to grow without triggering inflation. How Has TSLA Performed in 2026? Price Action: At the last check, the TSLA stock was trading 0.82% higher in Tuesday’s premarket. It was down 11.92% over the last year, 16.55% year-to-date, and 3.43% higher over the last month. The stock closed 3.03% higher at $375.30 on Monday.
