Viking Therapeutics reported top-line results from a maintenance study of VK2735, a dual agonist targeting GLP-1 and GIP receptors, showing a 22% placebo-adjusted weight loss at week 33 after weekly dosing of 17.5 mg. The study indicated that up to 97% of weight loss was maintained with every other week dosing and 90% with monthly dosing over three months.
